**First Time At Auction**
North America, Southwestern United States, ca. 18th to early 20th century CE. An exciting assortment of 56 metal, stone, and glass artifacts that are components of larger items of clothing, weapons, jewelry, or tools from Native American and frontier settlers. There are several iron wheel gears and metal pieces that may have been parts of agriculture machinery or other tools, such as knives, nails, and rivets. Included are eight buttons and two buckles; one button has an eagle emblem and may have come from an American military uniform. Several glass beads, knapped quartz stones, and iron spear or arrow tips are likely Native American in origin. Three metal cones may have been jingle cones which were part of Native American dance and ceremonial dress. Other interesting pieces include a lead musketball, bullet, and a dime with a seated Liberty. A diverse collection! Size of spear tip: 6.5" L x .75" W (16.5 cm x 1.9 cm); size of case: 12.25" L x 8.25" W x 1" H (31.1 cm x 21 cm x 2.5 cm)
Provenance: private Glorieta, New Mexico, USA collection, acquired over the last 30 years in New Mexico and the US southwest

Condition
Bending of forms, losses, and weathering to all from exposure to elements. Heavy patina, earthen deposits, and mineral encrustations to all. Dime is bent and cannot determine date. Great signs of age!
