Description
**Originally Listed At $250**

Native American, Sioux, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A lovely example of a red catlinite (pipestone) tomahawk pipe with needle engraved geometric motifs along its length. The pipe separates into two pieces - the head and the long, squared-off handle; they slot together with an interior pipe stem. Pipes of this style became popular after they were displayed by Native Americans at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, also known as the Chicago World's Fair. Size: 14.2" W x 7.5" H (36.1 cm x 19 cm)
