Chinese Ming bronze tri-pod censer, depicting kui dragons and banana leaves, the three legs decorated with the face of the beast, the openwork lid decorated with pakua design and surmounted by a foo dog. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Wei Yuan Hsueh and Emily Hsueh, Dallas, Texas. Owners of the former Oriental Art Shop in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Hsueh was a Chinese government official as Consul to Jamaica and Consul to Germany prior to beginning Oriental Art Shop. 20"H x 12" Dia., Circa - 16th-17th C.
