***Auction Highlight*** 1897/7-o Vam 4 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms64 dmpl By SEGS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE AUCTION - THE SINGLE FINEST 1897-o We have ever had the Privilege to bring to Auction. Tied for Finest known in DMPL. This is the Finest Graded DMPL by SEGS, 2 by PCGS and 1 at NGC. I do believe that the NGC and one of the PCGS coins are the same coin. So I think that our coin is Tied with 2 others for finest known. None of them have ever come to auction except, the Legendary Jack Lee example. The Jack Lee example is housed in an Old Green PCGS holder and as is well known, back then PCGS had much different and less stringent guidelines for DMPL determination. I do not think it would garner DMPL today. I therefore see ours as tied for the Finest known 1897-o in DMPL with just one coin. No other ms63 or ms64 DMPL has come to auction since 2005. I will also note that in PL, there are none graded above ms63 PL. The 1897-o in PL and DMPL is Ultra Rare with less than 50 coins in all grades. Spectacular Contrast, Superb Strike, Clean Fields and Devices. No individual marks worthy of mention. I have included a picture of the Jack Lee example, which last sold at auction in 2004 and the other ms64 DMPL that has never come to auction for your comparison. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation
