Pair of Continental Baluster Handled Porcelain Vases, 19th c., with gilt decoration and hand-painted reserves of scenes of India, on a magenta ground, H.- 18 in., W.- 7 3/4 in., .- 7 1/4 in. Provenance: Property from the Collection Of Nicholas Burke (1834-1905), located at 5809 St. Charles Ave. (The Wedding Cake House), and thence by descent to present consignor. Note: Burke was president of the Nicholas Burke Company, a Retail Grocer and one of the founders of Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans, Louisiana.
