each of baluster form, two-handled, the handles formed as scrolling foliage terminating in female busts, the recto featuring courtship scenes, the verso landscape views, the cover with gadrooned pine-form finial, all against a cobalt ground with tooled details, with acanthus bands, atop circular four-footed base, each signed T. Rebel lower right, apocryphal underglaze blue date mark under each cover; height of each including cover: 72 cm (28 1/2 in.)

CONDITION
The vases are in overall excellent orginial condition. Overall dust and tarnish. Most notably on the bases and maiden handles. Inspection under UV shows less than 5% of retouching to the courtship scene of the young woman in pink.
