Description
William IV Rosewood Rent Table, early 19th c., the banded circular top with inset tooled leather, over a skirt with four drawers and four faux drawers, on a hexagonal support, to a tripodal base with scrolled feet, H.- 28 3/4 in., Dia.- 42 3/8 in. Provenance: Property from a distinguished Garden District collection, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. No key present. Shrinkage crack in bottom of all drawers. Drawer pulls have been replaced in various areas. Some mild loss to veneer on base. Loss to two decorative semicircle wood elements on base. No cracks in leather. Shrinkage crack and visible repair to table top. Some cracks to veneer throughout. Spinner in working order. Unique and handsome example.
