Rev: PAX AVGVSTI legend with Pax standing left, holding olive branch and transverse sceptre; P in exergue. Sear 11788 variant (mint); RIC V(i) 150 variant (obverse); Cohen 72. 4.56 grams. ("). Property of an Essex gentleman. Tacitus reigned for around six months before his death, possibly by assassination. During his short reign he implemented a number of numismatic innovations. He is believed to have claimed descent from the famous historian Cornelius Tacitus. [No Reserve]
