Description
North America, United States, ca. 19th century CE. A fine knife used on the American frontier with a handle carved from a deer antler. The forged-steel blade features a single edge opposite a thick spine that tapers to a curved tip, a petite bolster, and a wide handguard decoratively incised with a horizontal band. Nice patina has formed across both the blade and handle to make this an attractive example of early American weaponry! Size: 13" L x 1" W (33 cm x 2.5 cm); Size of blade: 8.875" L (22.5 cm)

Condition
Stable fissure at top of handle, visible on both sides. Chip to base of handle. Expected scratches to blade commensurate with age and use. Otherwise, very nice with lovely patina.
