Description
Willi Ruge (1882 - 1961, Germany) was a photojournalist in Germany. During World War I, both at the front and as an air gunner, he took photographs under dangerous conditions, developing the technical expertise and adventurous spirit that would serve his professional activity. Ruge’s archive in Berlin- Scho?neberg was destroyed during an air raid in 1943. Unlike many photographers of his day, he didn’t flee but remained and photographed the wars.
