One of the glorious panoramas in the Sella collection highlighting the power of the massive mountains and giant glacier flows.

In the far east of Nepal, the Himalayas rise to the Kangchenjunga massif on the border with India, the third highest mountain in the world, the most easterly 8,000m (26,000ft) summit and the highest point of India. The eastern side of Kangchenjunga is in the Indian state of Sikkim, formerly an independent Kingdom, it lies on the main route from India to Lhasa Tibet, which passes over the Nathu La pass into the Tibet. East of Sikkim lies the ancient Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan.

Kangchenjunga 8,586 m 28,169 ft. lies in the Kangchenjunga Himal straddling Nepal and Sikkim, India with 3 of the 5 peaks on the border. Contains 16 peaks over 7,000 m (23,000 ft.). It is 78 miles 125 km east-southeast of Mt. Everest. It is 45 miles north of Darjiling. The western side is from Johnsong La down the Gingsang and Kangchenjunga glaciers and the rivers of Ghunsa and Tamur. South of the southern face of Kangchenjunga the Singalila Ridge separating Sikkim from Nepal.

It has five major peaks, Kangchenjunga Main 8,586 m 28,169 ft., Kangchenjunga West/Yalung Kang 8,505 m 27,904 ft, Kangchenjunga Central 8,482 m 27, 828 ft., Kangchenjunga South 8,494 m, 27,867 ft and Kangbachen 7,903 m 25,928 ft.

Kangchenjunga is roughly bound on the west side is the Tamur River, the north the Lhonak Chu (River) and Jonsong La (Peak), the is the Teesta River.

Good: Wear and rough edges where prints come together, prints lifting, and corner wear, abrasions, color shift first panel left where print was folded and rested on other part of panorama; 1 1/2" tear in R edge of 113 print and backing.
