GERMAN PORCELAIN LITHOPHANE CANDLE SCREEN / SHIELD, depicting a lady holding a bible in front of a cathedral, stamped "130" to reverse, mounted in a slightly oversized Tole Peinte frame raised on a double-step square plinth base, candle holder to reverse above a slide-out drawer with compartments for marches and candles. 19th century. 13 1/2" HOA, 4 1/8" SQ base.
Lithophone undamaged, stand with minor paint loss, upper securing bar on back replaced.
Provenance: From the Douglas Hare collection, Palmyra, NY.
