A CHINESE PAINTING OF EIGHTEEN LUOHAN GATHERING WITH FRAME

Taking Luohan as the main body, the painter uses condensed and expressive lines to depict it vividly and with various colors, either walking or sitting, in different forms, vivid and natural. Clothes lines are fine and smooth, facial contours, beards, eyebrows, and hair strands are slender with a pen, flexible and powerful. The character depiction is lifelike, the pen is skilled and solemn, the momentum is flying and the bone strength is old, the color is simple and clean, the pen is full of charm, well preserved, and has a high collection value.
PROVENANCE:From The Estate of David George Glen (1924-2016) of Delaware, raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, the son of William and Agnes Glen. His formal education was completed at Daniels Stewarts College, Edinburgh, after which he entered the field of medicine. He was a certified rehabilitation specialist, serving in military and civilian hospitals in the United Kingdom. From 1942 to 1945, he served in the Royal Air Force. In 1955 David immigrated to the United States, becoming a citizen in 1961.
