France, possibly by Laudin family of Limoges, 17th century, copper enamel. Hanging black enamel with white and gilt highlights in arabesque lines along with an "H" to the top on opposite sides. Oval green glass panes to three sides with the fourth having a handle to carry the lantern and one side a hinged door to insert a candle., Provenance: From the collection of Lucy and Stanley Lopata, by descent., 9" height, 3.5" width
