Item Details

Description

19th century silver plated ornate fire steam engine parade lantern. Large loop handle. Octagonal paneled body with figural classical medallion heads. Applied silver shield plaque inscribed "Steamer 15 St. Augustine Fair, 1873". Soldered patch at top of handle where it applied to two smaller ears. Panel where plaque is applied is pushed in. Wear to silver plate. Overall height: 14.25in.
