Item Details

Description

These extremely hard to find motor wheels branded "Cyclemaster", were produced from 1950 to 1960 by EMI at Hayes in Middlesex England. It is a 32cc two stroke engine attachment sold as a complete rear wheel that replaces the normal bicycle one and comprises a large hub with the whole assembly within it. The engine has a disc inlet valve that drives a countershaft carrying a clutch by chain, with a further chain drive to the hub. The gas tank sits above and behind the engine, giving it a very streamlined appearance. Restored and comes with a custom stand. Engine has not been tested. Measures 26" in diameter, and 7" deep without the stand.
