Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Chenghua Ge Type Crackle Glazed celadon plate. The plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded rim,raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Warm and uniform grayish glaze applied to the whole body. Decorated with hand-painting in grayish under glazed base color which contrast against the Ge design color. Distinctive GE crackled glaze also known as jinsi tiexian which translates to mean gold floss and iron thread which details the look of several lines that appear in the crackled surface. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy.

The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
