Buddy L Road Roller Pressed Steel Toy #209 - Offered Without Reserve - One of the most sought-after Buddy L toys produced, this example of the #209 Road Roller is in remarkably well-preserved original condition. While it has not been restored, it has had some of its operational features cleaned up and freshened. The boiler and chassis retain 85% of its original dark green finish with all decals still quite legible. The worm and gear steering are intact and operates super smoothly. There is patina on the forward stack, the center dome, and the surface of the rollers. The red roof has minimal wear and the spokes on the rollers also retain their factory red paint. The steam cylinder sleeves appear to be replacements with a bright chrome finish. When rolled, the pistons move very smoothly in the sleeve. 19" L x 8" W x 9.5" H.
