Description
Disneyland Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse Prop Leaf and Poster Framed (Walt Disney, 1999). The Swiss Family Treehouse opened November 18, 1962, in Adventureland at Disneyland, two years after the Disney film Swiss Family Robinson (1960). Imagineer Bill Martin worked out the treehouse's design. Disney's legendary animator Wolfgang Reitherman, who designed the treehouse for the movie, contributed. The tree stood 70 feet tall and 80 ft wide! In March 1999, the original walk-through attraction at Disneyland was closed. Refurbished and remodeled on a new theme, it reopened in June of 1999 as Tarzan's Treehouse. Offered in this lot is a small piece of Disneyland history. This is a vinyl leaf from the tree along with a miniature reproduction of the attraction poster. The leaf measures about 5" and the poster measures about 10" x 14" in a frame of 15" x 19". Frame sold as-is. Included is a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Disney. Fine condition.
