The BB-169 has never surfaced in uncirculated condition and the condition census lists 2 in au58 and 1 in au55, this would be tied for 3rd finest in the variety. Bowers Die State V. A distinctive die crack shows from the rim, through the last two numerals in the date, through the bust, and on to star 11. The crack branches at the drapery to form a parallel crack that runs from the bust through stars 13 to 11. Several other die cracks are evident as well as widespread die rust on both sides, indicative of the latest state of the BB-169 dies.
