Description
Bronze sculpture, "King Francois I on a Wild Boar Hunt", after Jean-Francois-Theodore Gechter (1796-1844). Green marble plinth base, left side of bronze is signed "T. Gechter". Measures a total of 14" tall x 15" wide and 8.5" deep. Condition: horseman at the top is broken at both legs and sitting loosely in place (repair at horses rear right leg, rear left leg is in need of re-joining), feather on the horseman's hat is cracked and loose, some corrosion at repaired leg joint, small chip to edge of marble base at the rear left corner, bronze sculpture is sitting loose on the marble base, see images. Weight: 40 lbs.
