Description
A Large Colima Stone Altar West Mexico, c. 250 BC - 250 AD A very rare, large, and finely carved example. The dense gray volcanic stone carved in form of a table or tray with a reclining human supporting it on its back, bent legs one end, bent arms and a head raised on other end. Grooves indicate toes and fingers. The face with facial features in low relief. In excellent condition, scattered mineral deposits on the surface.
