A small pine blanket chest with red paint, exposed dovetail construction reinforced with hand-forged nails, and turned legs. The interior has a small lidded compartment. American, circa early 19th c.

Mid 19th century, pine. Lift lid, turned feet, dovetailed drawer with beaded edge and old brass pulls, and paneled sides and front. Original red paint. Edge wear and tight split at one hinge.. 15.5"h.
