Alfred Dinsdale (1896-1974) Inventor, Autho. Dinsdale began a serious study of “the problems of transmitting and receiving visual signals, namely, television. He became the editor of the British Television magazine, founded in 1928. A rare, signed copy of his book, First Principles of Television, John Wiley & Sons, 1932, signed on the first blank page, “To my good friend E. L. Bragdon with the author’s best wishes A Dinsdale N. Y. 25th May 1932.” There is no dust jacket, front cover loose, stamped “National Broadcasting Company.” This was an important work surveying the technical developments of contemporary television in the United States and western Europe.
