Description

19th century Louis XVI style dressing screen or room divider. This finely carved gilt wood room divider or dressing screen has three panels. The center, larger, panel having a fine fabric framed in a carved wood design terminating with laurel and reef carvings. This panel flanked by a pair of matching fabric panels which terminate in a print scent of lovers in a forest, the artwork having glass surrounds. One scene missing and some small tears to the fabric. Wear is consistent with age. Measures: 40.50" X 2" X 38" (422-265)
