For sale is a lovely oil on canvass board painting of a sheep herder leading his flock. I would consider the oil painting to be in very good condition with the frame having little damage it is approximately 14 X 18" with the frame without the frame 9 3/4" X 13 1/2" signed and dated lower left. H Peabody Flagg 1912. Mr Flagg was born in Danvers MA, 1859 - 1937 he also lived in Somerville & Charleston MA. In 1849 he traveled to California & New York. Mr Flagg also traveled to France were I believe he painted this painting a great number of American artist traveled to France for their culture and experience in Art I believe this painting is signed on the art label on the back that it was painted in Normandy . A great addition to add to your collection the frame needs a little work but is still pleasing to the eye.
