A remarkable opportunity to own a Britains Factory Castle built by Britains and made available only to Britains dealers circa 1934-1936 (Note that the dating of this castle predates woodworked buildings by Hugar for Britains, circa 1939-1941). According to the Britains Smallwood Notes, 16 various "forts" were made over these 2 years to be made available on loan to merchants who wished to uniquely display Britains figures. Castle measures 29.5"X21.5"X17.5" high, the drawbridge works, a glass moat spans the front of the castle. Also included is a professionally framed letter from Britains Ltd to a dealer telling how best to use this castle, dated September 1936 (letter was found in the "dungeon" of the castle), lending authenticity to this lot.
