Titled on verso: A Monkey On His Back / Organ Grinder.

Dimensions: 14 in. x 18 in.
Condition: good original unframed estate condition.
Provenance: New York City, New York Estate.
Albert Pels exhibited at various galleries, one-man exhibitions and museums including The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Denver Art Museum, The Butler Art Institute and many others. Pel worked as a WPA artist during the 1930s, painting murals and national projects and exhibited extensively across the country. He also studied with Thomas Hart Breton at the Art Students League in New York.
