Description
Kings Mill, Ohio, tin in old red painted finish with clear glass globe, top marked No. 9 Globe Street C.T. Ham MF'G Co's/Label Registered 1886, 12" diameter x 20 1/2" high. This same oil street lamp is pictured on page 144 in the book entitled Peters & King The Birth & Evolution of the Peters Cartridge Co. & the King Powder Co., by Thomas D. Schiffer, 2002, Krause Publications, Iola, Wis. This lot includes an author autographed copy of this book with the photo pictured on page 144 with lamp on high metal post standing next to the stone hitching post that is still today in front of the Ahimaaz King home, also know as the King Manson at Kings Mill, Ohio. Condition Lantern is fine.
