Description
Made in Chicago in the 1950's this Rand Mac Nally is a 16 inches terrestrial library Glass lighted globe with a Macassar wood base and brass-capped feet. It is from the 1950's , Indo China not yet Vietnam ( 1954 ) , French west Africa ceased to exist in 1962 .Overall a very desirable globe with a unique base designed as a display possibly for a travel agency or a department store. Best quality available in its time with a glass globe and detailed and well printed map , the gores had to be hand glued to the glass .
