FRENCH modernist CHANDELIER ROYERE GUARICHE LUNEL ARLUS STILNOVO 1960
Made in France in the late 1950's early 1960's this Chandelier is most likely a design from Robert Mathieu or Mategot ( some attributed it to Stilnovo ) ,company used to order part and design to reassembled them for their own label like Arlus , Disderot . Original brass , some oxidation , rewired with American socket .It is the last time in France that it was possible to produce and offer brass pieces of this quality , the mass production of the 1960's was just around the corner and turned the page on small atelier to open the age of cost saving .The brass arm and design can be found with the work of Royere , Mouille ,Guariche and Robert Mathieu ,it is definitely a 1960's production. It will fit any modernist interior and can bring a warmer touch to a pure Eames style furniture set. The reflector is connected with a articulation to orient it independently of the arm or other reflector.
Rewired , size H.32 x W.30 , D.reflector 3.5 the rod could be made shorter if necessary good antique condition ,there is some scratches from normal use and some superficial oxidation ( darker spots)
