Description
This is a 1937 Coin Operated Rockola World Series Baseball Arcade Machine. This WORKING and impressive arcade machine appear to be in Original Condition. All players are intact and all function seem to work correctly. The pitcher turns to the umpire to receive the ball and he throws varied pitches at the batter ( you ). When he throws the pitch the players in the field move side to side. The pitch may or may not go through the strike zone. If you swing and miss it is a strike, if it is in the strike zone it registers a strike, if it is a ball outside and you don't swing it registers a ball. Just like real baseball. If you get a hit it registers the hit. After each at bat he batter name reel then advances. The umpire behind the pitcher raises his arm. It counts strikes, balls, outs, runs, batter up, etc. You have to anticipate the pitch and swing accordingly as it moves pretty fast. It is an amazing mechanism.
The players are in good condition with age wear and all are INTACT ( No breaks ). The playfield shows play wear, but overall is also nice. The cabinet is fairly nice for what appears to be original with age dirtiness and some small veneer loss at the side rear lower edges. Rear door locks replaced and include keys. Overall a nice example.
The base slipped up off the pegs so is off center in the photo of the backside, but has been corrected. The marquee glass has cracks, the right side lower rear corner has a crack about 5 inch long near the rear edge.Condition
