郎世寧（Giuseppe Castiglione，1688-1766）原名朱塞佩·伽斯底裡奧內，聖名若瑟，天主教耶穌會修士、畫家，義大利米蘭人。1715 年（清康熙五十四年）來中國傳教，隨即入皇宮任宮廷畫家，歷經康熙、雍正、乾隆三朝，在中國從事繪畫 50 多年，並參加了圓明園西洋樓的設計工作，為清代宮廷十大畫家之一。郎世寧擅繪駿馬、人物肖像、花卉走獸，風格上強調將西方繪畫手法與傳統中國筆墨相融合，受到皇帝的喜愛，也極大地影響了康熙之後的清代宮廷繪畫和審美趣味。
