Pair of Painted Leather and Faux Bois Three-Panel Screens
20th century, Middle Eastern, the screens decorated with scrolled gilt leaves and painted lotus flowers, peacocks, wolves and squirrels, the wooden frames painted to resemble calamander wood with ebonized trim.

Condition
In very good restored condition, with some repaired tears and scattered inpainting. Light craquelure throughout and a few shallow scratches. There are some losses to the face of the decorative leather strips at the folds. The painted panels are laid down on board. The verso is also polychromed, with extensive cracking and crazing but no notable losses.
