Description
Third quarter 19th century, hand stitched wool and cotton. The thirty six star flag became official on July 4, 1865. Former owner was Glenn Sunderland of Washington, Illinois, author of "Five Days to Glory".Hole and frayed edges, loose seams especially in red stripes. Framed, 31.5"h. 42"w. From the Collection of Maxine and Dave Tronnes, Mitchell, South Dakota.
Condition
3/17/21 Wear, several holes and frayed areas, at least two dark stains approx. quarter size. Backed with late white cloth when mounted.
