fourth quarter 19th century, of Directoire inspiration, the crest with a carved basket of roses framed by scrollwork, above a tablet with an oil-on-canvas panel depicting an urn of roses, the tablet and mirror plate with serpentine crests carved with scrollwork, the panel between the two carved with tendrils of flowers.

Condition
In good condition. The frame has a small loss to the carving just below the flower basket at the top. The finish with a rich, warm patina. The oil-on-canvas painting could stand to be stretched tighter.
