second quarter 19th century, of sarcophagus form, the stepped top opening to a fabric-lined interior, the lower section fitted with a single drawer, the whole with elaborate scrolling foliate brass inlays.

Condition
In very good polished and restored condition, with minor rubbing and wear. The top lifts off its base. The base has inlaid brass stringing and a finished top beneath the upper section, indicating it is intended to be presentable with the cellarette removed. Lock is present; no key. Professional repairs at the hinges. Interior now lined with cut velvet; any dividers it may once have had are absent. Feet replaced.
