An amazing antique Art Deco Egyptian Assuit shawl scarf, cream colored silver foil on net.
It is made of an off white cream color sheer cotton netting, covered with hand applied silver metal foil pieces done in a decorative Art Deco abstract geometric shapes. The silver foil are wrapped around the threads of the fabric to achieve a wonderful geometric design.
These Egyptian shawls were made popular during the 1920s with the discovery of King Tuts tomb and were made in Assiut, Egypt.

CONDITION
In good antique uncleaned condition, many stains, no repairs and no rips or holes and the material is strong. This shawl has been stored away for decades and with no tarnish.

APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS
Wrap measures a generous 102 inches long by 20 inches wide. There is a hand stitched rolled hem edging.
