Description
Two Chinese Porcelains. The first, a famille rose bowl decorated to the interior with a central crane within an iron-red border of floral meanders beneath a carved pattern of rice grains, the exterior walls with parcel-gilt foliate scrolls, the recessed base with a six-character Kangxi mark in running script, on a carved wood base; the second, a blue and white porcelain censer, the barrel-shaped body raised on three short legs in the form of boys, the sides molded with a pair of mock ring handles and decorated with mythical beasts amidst foliate scrolls, the cover pierced with three triangular apertures and surmounted by a further boy. {Diameter of the bowl: 8 1/8 inches (20.6 cm)}. Condition: The bowl with a hairline to the base, small chips to the interior.
