Chinese Qing Dynasty conical porcelain bowl, in wide flared form tapering down to a low footed base. Covered throughout in a lush ox blood glaze. Holds a blue six character Qing Dynasty mark to the base. Sits approx. 2.62"high and measures approx. 8.37" (21.2cm) in diameter. Provenance: Professor Wu Jilu's Chinese porcelain collection of Sung & Ming Dynasty ceramics. Prof Wu Jilu was a professor in Chinese Literature, and an avidcollector of Chinese porcelain antiques, esp. those with strong Sung Dynasty style & flavor. He had a collection of over 100 items from China’s Sung, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. He had bought most of thosecollections from various antiques shops and small auction houses across the world over the past 25 years. Some his antique collections were auctioned by major auction houses, such as Sotheby’s and China’sGuardian Auction, Hong Kong.
