Having a pear shaped form surmounted by a slender tapered neck and a garlic head mouth. Covered throughout with a crackle suffused bluish green glaze. Stands approx. 9.5" high (24.1cm). Provenance: Professor Wu Jilu's Chinese porcelain collection of Sung & Ming Dynasty ceramics. Prof. Wu Jilu was a professor in Chinese Literature and an avid collector of Chinese porcelain antiques, especially those with strong Sung Dynasty style & flavor. He owned a collection of over 100 items from China’s Sung, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. He had purchased most of those collections from various antiques shops and small auction houses across the world over the past 25 years.
