Description
"Homemakers' Cookbook and Guide to Nutrition" by Esther L. Gardner M.A., Dietitian, Director of Dietetics, College of Medical Evangelists, Daisy Schluntz M.S., Head of the Home Economics Department, Walla Walla College, Ruth Little, Dietitian, White Memorial Hospital, Mary Turner, Dietitian.
Published by Review and Herald Publishing Association, Washington, D.C., Copyright 1946 by the Pacific Press Publishing Association. Fully illustrated containing many full-page color photographs.
A cookbook from a grand-grandmother's shelf. This cookbook, considered classic in the 1940s, is based on nutrition studies conducted during the WW2, and rational healthy cooking of the wartime. In any case, cooking was a serious business in the 1940s, during and post-World War II years of the 1940s. Homemakers worked hard to stretch family meals, particularly meat, which was not as plentiful. Therefore, creativity was a major part of cooking.
US: Priority (c.2-4 days) -------------- $9.50
Canada: Priority (c.2-6 weeks) ------ $29.50
World: Priority (c.2-8 weeks) ------- $39.50
