Description
This lot consists of a graphite illustration on paper, done in the realistic style of Conrad Buff IV (American, 1948 - ). Image depicts several human and animal figures in a blank space; handwritten graphite notes at bottom read, "Reduce to 5'' Page 15" and "10", as well as the words "Conrad Buff" at bottom right corner of composition. Unframed piece measures approximately 12.25" x 8.75".
Reverse side of piece features a stamp which reads, "This painting is by Conrad Buff and has been stamped with the official estate signature. [Signed] Mary Elizabeth Buff."
Conrad Buff IV (American, 1948 - ) is an Academy Award-winning film editor, known for his work on The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Titanic (1997), and Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011). Upon graduation from high school, Buff attended Pasadena City College, and then joined the United States Navy. It was during his military service that Buff first learned the craft of film editing.
