ANTIQUE AMERICAN COUNTRY STORE BAG RACK, fitted with a cast-iron string holder at top, retaining original blue-painted surface. Together with a counter-top bell, no markings located. Two pieces total. Circa 1890. 20 1/4" HOA, 8" WOA,16" LOA.
Good overall as-found condition, old breaks with associated losses, and with other imperfections. Bell with scattered areas of discoloration.
Provenance: From the private collection of Edwina and the late Bernard Bishop, Williamsburg, VA.
