ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC TABLE AND COFFEE ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, each having blue transfer images, comprising a covered butter dish with insert featuring "FLORENTINE" pattern depicting figures in foreground with Florence, Italy and bridge in background, a coffee pot with "Japan Flowers" motif featuring an urn, flowers, and pagodas in background, and an octagonal form sauce tureen with undertray featuring arched bridge with charming structures on cliffs above. Marks include some printed pattern names. Ridgway, Morley, Wear & Co., Hanley; Thomas, John & Jos Mayer, Longport, Burslem, England. First half 19th century. 10 1/2" HOA.
Butter undamaged, except having some minor light discoloration to underside; coffee pot having chip and minor flake to interior gallery, minor hairline to end of spout interior; sauce tureen with painted chip to foot, radial hairline to lower body, and hairline to cover that does not appear to go through to interior, and undertray with minute flake to top.
