A MID 18TH CENTURY AUTOMATION EIGHT-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK WITH MOONPHASE the crossbanded oak case with dentil moulded pediment above a glazed door flanked by turned baluster columns on a slim trunk and box base raised on bracket feet enclosing a 12" arched brass dial with winged cherub head spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a finely engraved silvered centre with centre seconds, penny moon phase and calendar apertures, the arch having a rotating figure of Old Father Time fronting an eight-day weight driven movement striking on two bells 218cm high
