A Pair of Dutch Delft Apothecary Jars
Late 17th/early 18th century
Of baluster form with foot bases and tall necks, inscribed "Cerasorum" and "Menthae." (2).
H: 10 3/4 in.

Acquired from Mark & Marjorie Allen, Laconia, New Hampshire.
Property of a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Gentleman.
Condition
Cracks to glaze. Fritting to rims and base. One jar with 3/4 in. chip to base. One jar with 1/2 in. chip to rim, and two areas of glaze losses approx. 1 3/4 x 3/4 in. and 1 1/4 x 1/2 in. Some remnants of previous gilt visible around text.
