great piece of environmental folk art by Mike Hudson. A well designed and welded cat from a tractor spring and railroad spikes. 19" x 16" in the late 1980s to early 1990s Mike Hudson worked with Benny Carter at Halsted Metal in Pinehall, NC. He also ran a boot legging joint where they sold liquor and beer without a license that was called "The Barn" that workers would go to after hours. Mike converted the barn into a bar and metal working shop. Many of his pieces of art were sold at Benny Carter's estate sale in 2014.
