Description
English porcelain armorial dish, circa 1820.
The plate is scalloped, with four raised molded elements of grape clusters and leaves. The central armorial motif is an eagle's head in a cobalt blue and gilt reserve. The periwinkle blue ground has orange and white flowers. The rim repeats the cobalt and gilt border.
Excellent condition, no chips or hairlines, with some wear to the gilt. A dealer's tag on the back attributes the plate to Chamberlain's Worcester, circa 1820. 8" diameter.
