Curiously, pp. lvii-lx, which should be at the end of the preliminary matter in Vol. I, are at the end of Vol. II between the final two leaves of the index, signed e2, e. Perhaps a printer's stratagem to maximize efficiency in paper usage. Of utmost rarity in such state.

Condition

Minor wear to the covers and spine as is normal for even the choicest books of this era bound in boards, the front board of Vol I detached and present; in fine, clean, and fresh condition internally, in modern folding cloth box.
